<✨I thought I would never smile again. I thought

<✨I thought I would never smile again. I thought I could never care again about getting dressed or even leaving the house. When your heart hurts so much that even breathing is an effort; when closing your eyes immediately makes them fill with tears, nothing matters. This past month has been the most horrible of my life, but also the one where I have felt the presence of God closer than ever before in my life. When we first got the news about my mom, and my world broke into a million little pieces, I kept hearing a voice whispering “fear not”, and at times, I thought I was going nuts. Other “things” began to happen, one after the other, “coincidentally”, as many would say, but I knew better…God was holding me and comforting me all along. My mom won’t need chemo or radiation, just a blocker pill. In three months, we’ll do another CT scan to see how things are looking. I have faith; enormous faith because I know God listens, but also because I felt your prayers giving me strength. Today, God is risen, and we celebrated His resurrection, my dad’s 87th birthday, and my mom’s “new” life. Even her oncologist said “I don’t know in Whom you believe, but Someone was looking out for you”. Today, I was able to smile. It’s a bit of a different smile; a more conscious one, but also a more grateful one. We celebrated at our “happy place”, @thebreakers and it couldn’t have been more special. Happy Easter, everyone! God is risen! ✨🙏🏻>
