Thank you for stopping by and taking a look into my Armoire! I’m Susana Fernández, and this blog chronicles my personal style. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I am quite multicultural, having lived in Latin America and Europe before coming to the United States to finish my studies. When I moved to Miami, Florida, and without really planning it that way, I ended up staying… I have a MBA in marketing and a Ph.D. in leadership theory and human resources development administration, which makes me… yes, you probably guessed it: a university professor!
Before teaching full-time, however, I worked in higher education for many years, and have also worked in public relations, television, and written professionally for a newspaper affiliated with The Chicago Tribune. If you know me in real life, you probably know that a microphone and a camera still make me the happiest person on earth! After all, my undergraduate degrees are in broadcast journalism and public relations, and a minor in French.
I have always had an interest in anything creative, especially because it provides me with an outlet for self-expression. Fashion, cooking, and writing are my top interests, and what I turn to whenever I need a break. In addition to A Key to the Armoire, I also created a sister blog: A Key to the Pantry, where I chronicle my adventures in cooking and baking.
I hope you enjoy A Key to the Armoire. I also hope it inspires you to focus on your own style along the way. The Armoire is open…take a peek inside!
