If you follow me, you know that I’m big into sustainability. I re-wear my clothes all the time, upcycle, when needed, and only wear natural fabrics. Yes, in case you don’t know, natural fabrics are the most sustainable option when it comes to fashion because synthetics are incredibly pollutant and create micro-plastics that are difficult to eliminate.
Of course, when Amour Vert, a fashion label whose mission is tied to sustainability, contacted me for a collaboration, I couldn’t say “Yes!” fast enough! Take this off-the-shoulder dress, for example, the cut is comfortable and flattering, the print is adorable, and the silk is fantastic, as is the price point. The brand offers a great option for fuss-free, chic styles that are perfect for conscious women on the go.
Did I mention that the silk is completely washable at home? Yes, it is, and it even dries quickly without the need of a dryer (another awesome sustainable feature, if you ask me!), so it works beautifully for travel. Although the dress comes with its own fabric belt, I decided to wear a contrasting one and leave the sash to tie to my straw hat. The floral print was the perfect choice for Palm Beach, and I added my favorite wicker handbag and quilted leather espadrilles.
By the way, I must say that I found this dress incredibly well-cut, so much so, that the shoulders stayed in place all day! It never moved; it never pinched the skin! Honestly, I was impressed!
