Today, I am sharing a look I wore to an event at the Alexandre Birman store in Bal Harbour Shops. This event took place during the Latin American Fashion Summit, which took place in Miami, and where Alexandre Birman presented his inspiring design and business success story. He was in attendance at the event, so I had the pleasure of meeting him.
Oftentimes, women think that you must wear dresses for special events, a cocktail reception, or even a more formal event. The truth is that you don’t need to! Having luxurious pieces in your armoire allows you to mix and match to construct elegant and refined outfits.
For this event, I wore a brocade, full skirt by Talbots, and paired it with a cashmere sweater by Dolce & Gabbana. The red roses married both pieces in the best possible way! Clearly, you can mix a luxury, runway piece with a more affordable, excellently-made piece.
