Don’t you love Palm Beach? I had a very exciting blog-related, work meeting the other day, and this is what I wore. I would not say that it is a work outfit, but in this case, given the context, it was.
I went for a monochromatic look that included a Talbots pleated skirt, a simple tee, and an embroidered and softly beaded jacket over the shoulders, all of which accessorized with brown sandals, a simple brown velvet ribbon for a belt, and a braided headband. My favorite accessory? The lovely, mother-of-pearl Nicola Bathie earrings!
When doing monochromatic styling, you don’t need to wear the exact, same shade. As long as it is in the same family, you will preserve the monochromatic sense, but add texturing interest too. If you notice I’m wearing a palette of creams, but there are many gradations to it.
