Today, I am sharing a lace-on-lace look that is both elegant and feminine and, believe it or not, works well for both Spring/Summer as well as Autumn/Winter. Lace is quite versatile! In Spring and Summer, you can wear it simply, but come Autumn and Winter, and you can layer it over warmer pieces for even more added color contrast!
For this look, I wore a knit sweater full skirt that I paired with a guipure blouse. Although most “lace-like” fabrics and knits are commonly described as “crochet”, they are not. Crochet is handmade with a hook needle, not knit on a loom, like most laces are, including guipure. The sweater knit skirt is machine made, but it is knit, not made in a loom.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the look! Keeping with the knit, artisan vibe, I paired the outfit with a perforated lace-like handbag and needlepoint ballerina flats.
